On August 2 (Beijing time), Fortune Magazine released the 2021 Fortune Global 500 list. Guangzhou Municipal Construction Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "GMC") was successfully listed in the Global 500 with an operating revenue of RMB 184.1 billion (US$ 26.682 billion) and ranked 460th, becoming the first construction enterprise shortlisted in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
GMC, founded in 1950, is a state-owned enterprise with 71 years of cultural accumulation and brilliant achievements. Over the past 71 years since its establishment, GMC has always adhered to the enterprise spirit of "Building Thousands of Houses and Creating Beautiful Scenery in the World". A RMB 100-billion Enterprise to Build a "Construction Industry" Carrier
During the 13th Five-Year Plan, GMC's business scale increased from RMB 59.5 billion to RMB 184.1 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 25.3% in operating revenue and 29.1% in total profit. In 2018, GMC seized the opportunity and built another "GMC" in two years against the backdrop of a severe economic development situation, and successfully became a RMB 100-billion enterprise in 2019. In 2020, GMC made great efforts to overcome the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by bearing "Climbing Over the Ridge and Rolling Stones up the Mountain" in mind, and its annual operating revenue reached RMB 184.1 billion, up 36.5% year-on-year, with its comprehensive strength ranking first among the construction enterprises in Guangdong Province, helping GMC stride into the Global 500. In the first half of this year, GMC achieved the operating revenue of RMB 82.59 billion, a year-on-year increase of 74.98%, maintaining strong growth momentum.

GMC now has more than 200 wholly-owned enterprises and affiliates, 2 special qualifications for general contracting and 41 first-class qualifications for general contracting, and is the first enterprise group in South China to hold both the special qualification for general contracting of housing construction and class-A design qualification of the construction industry, as well as the special qualification for general contracting of municipal engineering construction and class-A design qualification of municipal industry. Prefabricated Building, Holding high the Banner of "Smart Manufacturing in the Bay Area"

We take the development of prefabricated buildings as the focus of development transition, take the lead in introducing and drawing on international advanced prefabricated building technology, and strive to promote the coordinated development of smart construction and building industrialization. "Bay Area Smart Building" Factory of GMC, located in Xiji Island, Huangpu District, is a "Green Building Technology Innovation Exhibition Platform in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" jointly built by GMC, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, and was awarded the title of "National Prefabricated Building Industrial Base" by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in November 2017. Among them, the "Bay Area Smart Building" Factory's first fully prefabricated municipal bridge project in Guangdong Province - Speedup Upgrading Project of Fangcun Avenue South, adopts fully prefabricated construction technology, with a prefabrication rate of 90%. We took only one year to complete the 1.2-kilometer bridge construction of the project, which was two years ahead of the estimated construction period and greatly improved the construction speed. Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology, another masterpiece of GMC, is the first project in Guangzhou with the largest prefabricated building area exceeding 150,000 m
